Edith M. Reels Obituary

Edith M. Reels, 77, passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the West Shore Health Center in Warwick. She was the beloved wife of Richard S. Reels, Sr. for 58 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Mildred (Shaffer) Hall. Edith was the loving mother of Richard S. Reels, Jr. (Lisa), Roshonda L. Perry (Anthony), Rozliyn M. Pellicano (Mark), and Gina L. Hill (Lenny). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of Alfreda Hill, and the late Howard Hall, Sylvia Hill and Carol Thomas. Edith was a bookkeeper and partner with her husband for the former Richie's Garage at Hoxie Four Corners in Warwick for 32 years. She was also a school bus driver in Warwick for 15 years, worked at Honey Dew Donuts, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and belonged to the Drum Bugle Corps in Warwick. She very much enjoyed bowling and loved spending time with her family.

Her funeral service will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 10 AM in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in the Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. Visiting hours Thursday, 4-8 PM.
