Irene E. Patterson Obituary

Irene E. (Williams) Patterson, 84, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020 at the Miriam Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of Clarence E. Patterson for 63 years before his passing in 2019. Born in Smithfield, she was a daughter of the late Edgar L. and Irene E. (Ouimet) Williams. Mrs. Patterson was a CNA for 20 years at the former Elmbrook Nursing Home, worked part-time for the Smithfield Police Dept. and she also worked as a dispatcher for Wesco Oil Company for 10 years before retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Chepachet Grange and a former member of the Primrose Grange.
Mrs. Patterson was the loving mother of Gale L. Pannullo of Cranston, Linda A. O’Neill of Coventry, Debra L. Patterson of Smithfield and Daniel B. Patterson of Tega Cay, SC. She was the sister of Joyce A. St. Jean and Edgar L. Williams. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to a funeral service Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 10AM in the Grace Bible Church, 116 Rolfe Square, Cranston. Visitation will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 from 6-8PM in the TUCKER-QUINN Funeral Chapel, 643 Putnam Ave., (Rt.44), Greenville. Burial will be private.
