Johanne E. Mercurio Obituary

Johanne E. Mercurio (Calcione), 82, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Mercurio for 49 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Elsie (Letteri) Calcione. She has been a resident of Warwick since 1973. Johanne had been employed as an insurance underwriter with Amica Insurance until she decided to retire and raise her family. She was the devoted mother of Joseph T. (Helen K.) Mercurio, Anthony J. (Cheryl L.) Mercurio, and Gina A. Martin (fiancé, Robert McBrier). She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Joseph, Andrew, Abigail, Grace, Brady, Benjamin, Anthony, Thomas, Julia and Leia. She was the sister of Richard Calcione.

A visitation will be held Monday, June 29, 2020 from 10-12 noon with a service at 12 noon in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Home, 2435 Warwick Avenue, Warwick. Social distancing will be observed. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904, will be appreciated.
