Robert E. Brown, Jr. Obituary

Robert E. Brown, Jr., 80, of Sterling, CT., formerly of Rhode Island, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Davis Place, in Danielson, Connecticut. He was the beloved husband Hedy G. (Soto) Brown and a son of the late Robert E. Brown, Sr. and Wilhelmina (Barboza) Brown.

Mr. Brown was employed as a diesel mechanic and truck driver for many years, and owner of B&P Trucking. He was the loving father of Barbara Brown, Robert E. Brown, III, Cheryl Thacker, Denise Schrake, Jane Rudgers, Christine Gould and Carolyn Haughey. He was the devoted grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and the caring brother of the late William Brown. He enjoyed car racing, camping, hunting and dancing to the oldies.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 from 4-5 pm with a Celebration of Life at 5 pm in the Thomas & Walter Quinn Funeral Chapel, 2435 Warwick Ave, Warwick.
